Il Vecchio Mulino Camping rises in Opi on the slopes of Monte Marsicano, in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park, close to the wonderful Lake Villetta Barrea and the untouched Camosciara Integral Reserve. Located 1,070 meters above sea level and open all year round, it establishes itself as the ideal choice for trekking lovers in the summer and skiing lovers in the winter. Indeed, the skiing facilities of Pescasseroli and Macchiarvana for cross-country skiing can be reached shortly. 
Camping area
Guests will find naturally shaded and spacious pitches laid out a flat turf for tents, campers and caravans serviced by restrooms with hot showers and disabled-friendly services.
Mobile homes
For nature lovers who do not want to compromise on comfort, Il Vecchio Mulino Camping offers accommodation in comfortable mobile homes plunged into greenery. The lodgings can host 4 people and are fitted with heating, a fully equipped kitchenette and a bathroom with shower.
Food
The pride of Il Vecchio Mulino Camping is its catering service. Guests can go for a quick snack at the bar made from local products or lunch and dine at the campsite's restaurant, also open to the public, which serves Abruzzo’s best traditional meat dishes, excellent cold cuts and cheeses. Every meal will be accompanied by local wines. The restaurant has a large internal room and a large outdoor area that is also very popular with groups.
The surroundings
Do not miss the Lake of Villetta Barrea, the endless trails of Abruzzo National Park like that of the Val Fondillo, plenty of springs, where you can run into roe deer, bears, chamois, wolves and lynx. During winter you may practice go cross-country skiing and walk along the snow-shoe trail. Another famous and much loved path for those who love alpine skiing and climbing is that of Monte Marsicano, located east of Opi. Here, among others, you can meet deer, wild hares and the golden eagle.
